Why software matters

NVIDIA’s CUDA developer ecosystem, libraries such as cuDNN and TensorRT, its AI Enterprise software, and appliance offerings like DGX and Hopper-based systems create lock-in and recurring revenue. Developers learn CUDA once and optimize models for NVIDIA hardware; cloud operators and enterprises then pay for certified stacks and premium support. The result is higher margin economics more typical of software vendors than commodity semiconductor suppliers.
