Huawei (华为) Pura 90 Pro series begins rolling out HarmonyOS 6.1.0.125 SP10 with limited-time "Orange Sea (橘子海)" watermark
Rollout and headline features
Huawei (华为)’s Pura 90 Pro series is receiving a software update to HarmonyOS (鸿蒙) 6.1.0.125 SP10, and it has been reported that the system package is about 5.22 GB. The headline addition is a set of limited‑time photographic watermarks — including Orange Sea (橘子海), Emerald Lake (翡翠湖) and Rosy Glow Purple (霞光紫) — that users can append to photos taken up to midnight on September 15, 2026. Why a watermark? It’s a small piece of design-led differentiation in a crowded smartphone market.
How the new features work
Reportedly, users can enable the watermark from the Camera UI (tap the upward arrow below the shutter, or swipe up near the shutter to open the toolbox > Settings > Auto‑add watermark > Limited‑time watermark), and can edit background color and text via the watermark card’s edit icon. The update also adds a one‑tap save for the light‑sensing “无界” theme — from the lock screen you can capture a live scene with a single tap in the upper right and set it as a default background in custom edit. Other tweaks include heartbeat interaction guides for themes (野趣憨憨 / 好运跳跳 / 拆家嘿嘿) and per‑app volume control (open the volume slider, swipe left to expand, and enable Settings > Sound and Vibration > App volume separate adjustment).
Why this matters
HarmonyOS is Huawei’s in‑house OS built after years of US export restrictions that limited access to some Western software and components. Software updates like this are part of Huawei’s broader effort to keep consumers engaged through unique UI and camera features rather than relying solely on hardware upgrades. It has been reported that the rollout is incremental, so Pura 90 Pro users should expect a staged push rather than an immediate global upgrade.
