Starting at RMB 129,900, 2026 BYD (比亚迪) Haishi 06 DM-i (海狮 06 DM-i) officially launched — full tank and full-charge combined range 1,845 km

Overview

It has been reported that BYD (比亚迪) has launched the 2026 Haishi 06 DM-i (海狮 06 DM-i), with official guidance prices ranging from RMB 129,900 to RMB 159,900. This is an annual facelift rather than a ground-up redesign, but BYD has pushed upgrades across power, range, intelligent driving, comfort and chassis control. How far can a plug‑in hybrid go on a single fill-up and charge? According to reports, the headline figure is a combined full‑tank, full‑charge range of 1,845 km.

Powertrain and range

The 2026 Haishi 06 DM-i is said to use BYD’s fifth‑generation DM hybrid architecture in a front‑motor, front‑wheel‑drive layout. It reportedly raises motor output to 218 hp and pairs with a 38 kWh blade-style lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, giving a CLTC pure‑electric range up to 310 km. Under NEDC testing the car’s depleted fuel consumption is about 3.5 L/100 km, and BYD quotes the combined 1,845 km range when both fuel and battery are topped — figures that reflect China’s current test cycles and BYD’s low‑consumption hybrid strategy.

Tech, comfort and safety — and the bigger picture

The model adds comfort features such as front seat memory and massage, a passenger electric leg rest and an in‑cab smart fragrance system, plus new exterior and interior colorways. For active safety and autonomy, an optional “DiPilot 300 — Laser” package with lidar is offered reportedly for RMB 12,000, enabling city and high‑speed navigation assistance, traffic‑light recognition and other full‑scene ADAS functions. The cabin gets BYD’s DiLink 100 with a 15.6‑inch rotating central pad and deep‑customized Gaode maps; chassis upgrades include an intelligent damping system with road‑preview capability and a high‑speed tire‑burst stability control. As BYD scales advanced hybrids and EVs domestically and abroad, the company is advancing technology at pace — even as Chinese automakers face growing regulatory and trade scrutiny in Western markets.
