NIO (蔚来) Firefly (萤火虫) hits 60,000 deliveries; refreshed model starts at ¥119,800

It has been reported that the model began first deliveries on April 29, 2025, and the refreshed upgrade was introduced this April with a retail price range of ¥119,800–¥125,800 and a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) purchase option priced at ¥79,800–¥85,800. Reportedly the refreshed Firefly retains NIO’s signature “trio” headlight design and gains new star-track two-tone alloy wheels and a bespoke two-tone rear diffuser. Interior upgrades include a 13.2‑inch 2.5K central touchscreen, a 6‑inch instrument display and a through‑center console to ease interaction between driver and passenger. The car also adds driver‑assist features dubbed “Little Blue Light” and auto‑tilt plus memory for the side mirrors, along with new ambient lighting and custom lock‑light voice effects.

On paper the Firefly measures 4003 x 1781 x 1557 mm with a 2615 mm wheelbase and uses a single‑motor layout rated at 120 kW. The standard‑range model packs a 42.1 kWh battery weighing 314 kg and is rated for up to 420 km of range. Those figures position the Firefly to compete on cost and efficiency in the city‑oriented segment where range, value and software features often drive purchase decisions.
