Xiaomi Auto (小米汽车) offers limited-time physical badge to cars that hit 100,000 km

What Xiaomi is offering

It has been reported that Xiaomi Auto (小米汽车) will give owners whose vehicles have reached 100,000 kilometers a limited-time, custom physical badge and a personalized driving-story summary. The offer runs from April 16 to May 16, and claims are handled through the Xiaomi Auto app activity page, IT Home (IT之家) reports. A small gesture — but one that taps into owners’ pride in long-term vehicle use.

Eligibility and how to claim

Who qualifies? Any Xiaomi Auto owner whose car has logged a total of 100,000 km. The campaign is open to all qualifying owners regardless of when they bought the car; eligible users will see a claim entry on the activity page in the app. Xiaomi Auto also publicly offers after-sales coverage: a 5‑year/100,000‑km whole-vehicle warranty and an 8‑year/160,000‑km warranty on key components, which provides broader assurances beyond this commemorative item.

Wider context

This move is small but symbolic. Xiaomi — better known in the West for phones and smart home gadgets — has been expanding into electric vehicles as part of a wider trend of Chinese tech firms diversifying into mobility. Why offer a badge? It helps build brand loyalty and community among early adopters. And it comes at a time when China’s EV sector is growing rapidly amid heightened global scrutiny of Chinese technology and shifting trade policies; while Xiaomi Auto itself has not been subject to the high-profile sanctions that have hit some other Chinese tech companies, the industry increasingly operates in a politically sensitive international environment.
