Xiaomi (小米) Poco C81 Pro specs leak after brief global listing — entry-level phone with Unisoc (紫光展锐) T7250, 6.9-inch 720p display

Leak and positioning

It has been reported that Xiaomi (小米) briefly listed a new Poco C81 Pro on its global website before the product page was removed, exposing full specifications. The Poco brand is Xiaomi’s value-oriented line, and the C81 Pro appears aimed squarely at budget-conscious and emerging-market buyers who prioritise battery life and price over flagship performance.

Key specifications

According to Notebookcheck, relayed by IT之家, the phone reportedly has a 6.9‑inch LCD with a 1600×720 (HD+) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, peaking at around 800 nits brightness. Camera hardware is modest: a 13MP rear main sensor and an 8MP front camera, with no telephoto lens. It is said to use a side-mounted power-button fingerprint sensor, a large 6000mAh battery and 15W wired charging. Memory and storage reportedly come as 4GB RAM with 64GB/128GB/256GB options, plus microSD expansion and dual‑SIM support.

Processor, performance and geopolitical context

The C81 Pro reportedly runs on a Unisoc (紫光展锐) T7250 chipset — an octa‑core 2A75 + 6A55 design that supports 4G only. That places the device firmly in the entry‑level performance tier, suitable for everyday light tasks but not for heavy gaming or demanding apps. For Western readers, Unisoc is one of China’s domestic chipmakers; its use reflects a broader trend in China’s smartphone supply chain toward local silicon amid trade frictions and export controls that have complicated access to some foreign components. Will buyers accept 720p on a 6.9‑inch panel in exchange for a huge battery and low price? Poco appears to be betting some will.

It has been reported that Xiaomi pulled the listing and has not confirmed pricing or availability.
