HarmonyOS Zhixing (鸿蒙智行) debuts — first look at AITO (问界) M9's interstellar full-width “large” blue lamp in real-car lighting demo
Debut and visual showcase
HarmonyOS Zhixing (鸿蒙智行) officially unveiled the new-generation AITO (问界) M9 series in a video released this morning, giving the public a first close look at the vehicle's interstellar-style full-width "large" blue lamp lighting effect. The clip shows a continuous blue light bar across the front fascia and additional blue indicators on the mirrors and rear lights. It has been reported that, counting the through-light, the car features at least five intelligent blue driving lamps spread around the body.
Tech details and safety reminder
Beyond the blue lamp concept, the new M9 lineup highlights several exterior upgrades: new-generation smart projection headlights, a unified through-light design, semi-hidden door handles, and new large disc wheels with a floating logo. Huawei (华为)'s QianKun driving system, labeled ADS 4 (乾崑智驾 ADS 4), will be offered on the model — but the company and HarmonyOS Zhixing emphasize that ADS 4 is an advanced driver-assistance system only, not autonomous driving; drivers must remain attentive and ready to intervene. Yu Chengdong, Huawei's executive director and head of the consumer business group, reportedly teased that the M9 will carry "stronger full‑stack black‑tech" from Huawei.
Why this matters: product and geopolitical context
AITO, the Huawei‑backed smart-vehicle marque, is a key pillar in Huawei's pivot toward automotive software and services as its handset and chip businesses face international pressures. Observers note that the company is investing heavily in in‑vehicle systems such as HarmonyOS Zhixing to own more of the software stack and user experience. With regulatory scrutiny and export controls shaping chip access and supply chains, Huawei's move into connected cars is both a commercial play and a strategic response to broader geopolitical constraints.
