“敢问世界先”,鸿蒙智行全新一代问界 M9 系列官宣
AITO (问界) today published official images and a new slogan — “敢问世界先” — for the next‑generation Wenjie M9 on its official Weibo account, positioning the model as the latest bearer of Huawei’s (华为) HarmonyOS (鸿蒙) intelligent driving ambitions. The teaser is a clear signal that the Pura family product wave, which Huawei has slated for an April 20 launch, will include substantive updates to AITO’s flagship MPV lineup. It has been reported that Huawei Terminal BG CEO He Gang (何刚) has hinted the Pura family will include more than the already‑announced Pura 90 series.
Design changes and on‑board tech
Official imagery shows a more angular, muscular silhouette: a redesigned front end with a through chrome strip, a mesh‑style grille and bolder chrome accents, plus a reworked rear bumper that gives the tail a heavier, more imposing look. Daytime running lights adopt a through‑type layout with contours echoing the M8; the tail lamps drop the silver frame used on the outgoing car. It has been reported that the 2026 M9 will carry a Huawei QianKun 896 线 lidar unit and an additional in‑cabin lidar, and that new “九天星辰” style door handles — reportedly shared with the 尊界 S800 — could enable gesture‑based, touchless opening. Privacy glass is shown front and rear.
Why this matters — and the geopolitical backdrop
Why should Western readers care? Huawei’s push into smart vehicles is part product play, part strategic pivot. Facing U.S. restrictions on access to advanced chips and some western suppliers, Huawei has poured resources into its HarmonyOS auto stack, sensor packages and partner ecosystems to maintain competitiveness in intelligent driving. The M9’s lidar and cabin sensor signals are a reminder that Chinese EV and smart‑car makers are rapidly integrating advanced sensing and software in ways that matter for supply chains and competition.
AITO’s images are teasers, not a full spec sheet. Final details and pricing will likely land at Huawei’s Pura / full‑scenario product launch on April 20. It has been reported that more Pura‑branded hardware and software announcements will accompany the event, so expect a fuller technical reveal then.
