Avita 06T (阿维塔) opens pre-sale at 229,900 yuan — high-tech kit aims to justify the price

Launch and price

Avita (阿维塔) has opened pre-sales for its new Avita 06T, with a starting price of 229,900 yuan (roughly US$32–34k). The reveal came during an Avita launch event where the company leaned hard on design and an array of Huawei (华为) systems to position the 06T as a technology-forward mid‑range EV. How much hardware can a buyer expect for that money? Quite a lot, if the specs presented at the event hold up.

Design and in‑car software

The 06T carries Avita’s “future aesthetics” language with optional “晴蓝” and “鎏棕” paint, F-shaped wing headlights and a large downward-pressing rear spoiler. The cabin runs HarmonyOS Cockpit 5 (鸿蒙座舱 5) and, reportedly, ships with Huawei’s MoLA large model across the range — an example of how automakers are embedding generative-AI tooling into cockpits. It has been reported that the car will also carry Huawei QianKun (乾崑) branding for advanced driver assistance on the B‑pillar.

Sensors, batteries and powertrain

Avita says the 06T integrates substantial hardware: a reported Huawei QianKun lidar offering up to 896 laser lines — described at the event as a mass‑production high — plus Huawei QianKun full‑dimension collision protection. The car uses CATL (宁德时代) “dual‑power” exclusive batteries and standard Taihang distributed electric drive (太行分布式电驱) across the range. Interior practicality is competitive too: 517 L trunk, about 10 cm of rear waistroom, and one‑touch foldable rear seats.

Performance and market context

Performance figures include a pure‑electric four‑wheel version with three motors (front / rear left / rear right) rated 210 kW / 251 kW / 251 kW peak, and a rear‑drive dual‑motor option with two 251 kW units. The 06T also debuts a “master drift” mode aimed at enthusiasts. For Western readers, note the geopolitical backdrop: Huawei has been pushed into deeper automotive partnerships as US export controls have constrained parts of its traditional mobile business, and automakers like Avita are increasingly using domestic software and battery suppliers to reduce reliance on foreign tech. Pre‑sales are underway — delivery timing and final certification details were not disclosed at the event.
