Zhang Xue Motorcycles says Zhang Xue has not opened Xiaohongshu account amid imitation profiles

Official denial after social accounts appear

Zhang Xue Motorcycles (张雪机车) issued a public statement on April 5 saying that accounts using the name “张雪的机车” and other first‑person videos allegedly from Zhang Xue (张雪) have appeared on Xiaohongshu (小红书 / RED). The company warned users to be cautious and clarified that, at present, Zhang Xue himself has not opened an official account on the Xiaohongshu platform. It has been reported that the announcement aims to curb impersonation and protect buyers from misleading content.

Racing success fuels attention — and copycats

The clarification comes as Chinese interest in Zhang Xue surged after his World Superbike Championship (WSBK) victory in Portugal. It has been reported that on April 3 Zhang Xue’s 820RR — billed as China’s first WSBK champion motorcycle — entered mass production and will be delivered to owners in stages. The 820RR is priced from ¥43,800, claims up to 135 PS and a 0–100 km/h time of 2.81 seconds, details that have amplified social discussion and commercial activity around the brand.

Platform moderation and consumer risk

Why does this matter? Xiaohongshu is a major social‑commerce and lifestyle platform in China, and impersonation can quickly morph into scams or unauthorized sales. Reportedly, several of the accounts in question publish first‑person riding clips and product posts that could mislead consumers seeking official channels. Will the platform step in to verify accounts and remove impostors? Zhang Xue Motorcycles is urging followers to rely only on verified channels and official dealer communications while the situation is monitored.
