Lotus (莲花) launches For Me ultra-hybrid SUV with 900V architecture, 420 km EV range and ¥508,000 base price

Introduction

Lotus (莲花) has formally introduced the all-new For Me ultra-hybrid SUV, a model that tries to bridge performance and long-range electrified driving. Reportedly priced from ¥508,000 for the standard version, the car will also be offered in a special edition. Can an SUV deliver sports-car acceleration while still posting 420 km of pure-electric range? Lotus thinks so.

Key specs and features

It has been reported that the For Me rides on a 900V electrical architecture and produces a peak output of 952 PS. According to the manufacturer figures published by IT之家, the vehicle measures 5,103 mm long, 2,019 mm wide and 1,636 mm tall, accelerates 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and achieves a CLTC pure-electric range of 420 km and a combined CLTC range of 1,416 km. Exterior details include a 1.24 width-to-height design ratio, active rear wing with four-stage intelligent adjustment, multiple bold paint options and 21‑inch forged wheel choices. Inside, the cabin reportedly offers six trim tones, a 5+2 screen surround, British KEF audio and four-zone climate control.

Market and geopolitical context

This launch comes as Chinese automakers push advanced hybrid and high-voltage technologies to compete at home and abroad. CLTC figures reflect Chinese test-cycle numbers, which Western buyers should compare cautiously with WLTP or EPA ratings. It has been reported that high-voltage systems like 900V are being adopted to speed charging and improve performance — a trend that intersects with global supply-chain and trade considerations as governments scrutinize EV component sourcing and technology transfer.
