Huawei (华为) rolls out HarmonyOS (鸿蒙) 6.0.0.328 SP52 Huafen beta with immersive light‑sensing

Rollout and scope

It has been reported that Huawei (华为) tonight began pushing the HarmonyOS (鸿蒙) 6.0.0.328 SP52 "Huafen (花粉) Beta" over‑the‑air update to a swath of recent phones, including the Pura 70, Mate 70 and Mate 60 series, among others, according to IT Home (IT之家). The staged beta release is aimed at Huafen beta participants and will likely appear on devices in waves rather than all at once.

What’s new

The headline feature is a new "immersive light‑sensing" visual effect that Huawei says enhances system UI across lock screen, home screen, control center and notification center as well as inside apps such as Gallery, Music and Video. Some interfaces will show a semi‑transparent frosted‑glass floating navigation bar, and users can reportedly adjust both the transparency and intensity of the light effects (Settings > Desktop & Personalization > Immersive Light‑Sensing). The build also adds an "intelligent anti‑fraud" protection to block scam calls, web pages and app behaviors, plus enhancements to encrypted sharing — time‑limited viewing and watermark protection — custom subfolders in Notes, and smarter important‑date cards.

Why it matters

Why does this update matter? On the surface it’s about polish and UX refinement. But for Huawei (华为) — a company still operating under US export restrictions that have constrained some hardware and component choices — software differentiation and a robust HarmonyOS (鸿蒙) ecosystem are strategic priorities. The anti‑fraud and encrypted‑sharing features also reflect growing domestic regulatory and user concerns about security and privacy. As with any beta, availability and final behavior may vary, so users should expect a phased rollout and monitor official channels for stability notes and wider release timelines.
