OPPO Find X9s Pro to Debut Tianma’s U9 Pro Eye‑care Display, Company Says

OPPO (欧珀) will reportedly be the first to ship an upgraded “U9 Pro” eye‑care screen from Tianma Microelectronics (天马微电子) on its upcoming Find X9s Pro, the manufacturer has announced. The move foregrounds display hardware as a new battleground for smartphone differentiation in China, where makers increasingly tout materials and manufacturing as ways to improve user wellbeing. The Find X9s Pro is set to be unveiled on April 21, it has been reported.

What the new screen promises

Tianma says the U9 Pro combines material, device and process optimizations to deliver a hardware‑level low‑blue‑light solution that reduces harmful blue light output “at the source.” It has been reported that the panel uses nanometer‑scale deposition to shift the blue‑light peak wavelength, and that the display supports full‑scene 1 nit low‑light eye‑care, 3,840 Hz PWM dimming, GAMMA tuning and DEMURA calibration for higher color accuracy and reduced perceivable flicker. Will those changes translate into noticeably less eye fatigue during long use? Consumers and reviewers will soon find out.

Device specs and broader context

Alongside the screen upgrade, OPPO’s Find X9s Pro will reportedly ship with the Dimensity 9500 (天玑9500) platform and a major imaging overhaul: a dual 200MP Hasselblad (哈苏) system, second‑generation Danxia color restoration optics, a new LUMO capture pipeline, 8K video and an expanded Hasselblad Master mode. These claims come as Chinese handset makers push hardware and system innovation to stand out amid slowing global smartphone demand and tighter international controls on advanced semiconductors — pressures that have encouraged greater reliance on domestic suppliers and component design.

Will hardware‑level eye‑care be a selling point or a marketing line? OPPO and Tianma have put technical detail on the table; verification will arrive when the Find X9s Pro reaches reviewers and consumers after the April 21 launch. It has been reported that additional hands‑on previews and official materials will follow the announcement.
