U.S. export controls, licensing to China, and multilateral trade policy now intersect with ecosystem control: platform dominance raises regulatory and national‑security scrutiny as much as semiconductor export rules do. It has been reported that NVIDIA is integrating third‑party inference engines following a reported Groq acquisition to accelerate mixed‑workload deployment, and the company’s network business alone did $7.25 billion in a recent year, growing nearly 98% — faster than GPUs themselves.
