Geopolitical pressure, industrial strategy and what comes next

This pivot is not happening in a vacuum. U.S. export controls and other trade restrictions have accelerated China’s emphasis on vertical integration in chips, optics and software. As national policy nudges suppliers and phone brands toward self‑reliance, competition increasingly involves platforms and services, not just hardware specs. Is this the watershed moment?
